Sen. Ann Rivers and Rep. Liz Pike are inviting citizens to attend a town hall meeting Saturday afternoon, Nov. 9, in Camas to discuss legislative-related issues of interest and concern to the 18th District.
“Representative Pike and I have always felt it’s important to know what’s in the hearts and minds of our constituents. This town hall meeting will help to prepare us to be more effective in the upcoming session,” said Rivers, R-La Center.
“The regular session of the Legislature convenes in January, so now is the time for constituents to bring us their thoughts and ideas about legislation. We are also interested in hearing where they stand on transportation and education funding, the Columbia River Crossing, jobs and the economy and other emerging local issues,” said Pike, R-Camas. “Senator Rivers and I want to be accessible to the people we serve. Town hall meetings, such as this one, provide the ability to discuss important issues and listen to the people we represent.”
The two lawmakers also recently held town hall meetings in Battle Ground and Ridgefield. The next meeting will be held:
Saturday, Nov. 9
1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
